Default Mini kids scooters in shopping areas?

Hi,

A bit of a silly question: are kids mini micro scooters allowed in many shopping malls? Wondering whether I'll have to break the news that the beloved scooter isn't coming to HK...

I haven't seen them in shopping malls. Some Park N Shops though!
Do you know what area of HK you will be living in?
I see kids with scooters outside all over HK Island.

Not sure where we'll be living, yet.

My son isn't allowed to take his into the shopping malls (by me, not security) but, he still has ample time and opportunity to whizz around on it. He's have been devastated if we left that behind.
Bring it!

Since shopping is the national sport here, the shopping malls can be crowded. Not sure they are the ideal place for a kid on a scooter and can't ever recall seeing one. And this is a place where it seems kids do not here the "No" word very often.
