Default When to apply

Hi everyone,

I am new to these forums but so glad I came across them.

At this stage we are going to be moving to HK in January next year if I can pick up a job then, if not we will move for the beginning of the new school year in August.

My question is, when do I need to apply. My daughter will be starting Reception (here in Australia) next term but unclear about when I need to apply for HK.

Helena

Hi
It depends on what school? My daughter was born in 2005 and she is in reception now.
If you are going down the ESF option she would enter P1 this September 2010.
I am also from Australia and have done the school options for our daughter, so feel free to PM me if you want any further advice/info.

Best to apply early and often. Each school could have different deadlines and, if you miss them, you are probably out of luck.
Recommend that you try to visit schools first and see what they are like. Might not be possible in your situation, though.
This should help, it is the latest school guide from the SCMP--
